The newest generation single caliper from Wilwood, built specifically for tight-clearance applications like micro sprint rear ends and sprint car front ends. The DPS-LW (DynaPro Single Lightweight) replaces the older DLS (Dynalite Single) series — if you've got that older caliper, this is the direct upgrade.
CNC machined from premium grade alloy billet. Wilwood used FEA design to beef up the transition between piston housings and bridges, which means less body deflection under hard braking, less fluid displacement, and firmer pedal feel. Translation: you push the pedal, you get bite — not pedal travel.
What sets the DPS-LW apart:
Quick-E-Clip pad retainers — supports 6812-type brake pads, retains them from the top. Fast pad changes without pulling the caliper, way stronger retention than the old single-pin DLS setup
Heavy wall stainless steel pistons — resist corrosion, slow heat transfer from the pads, eliminate piston backside deflection for better pedal firmness
Replaceable stainless SRS bridge plates — eliminate bridge wear from pad gouging, spring-loaded to kill pad rattle and dampen squeal harmonics
Internal fluid passages with four corner bleed screws — mount it front, rear, left, or right, doesn't matter
